BBL Esports are reportedly finalizing a massive transfer ahead of the 2026 VCT EMEA season, as they are looking to sign the entire BBL PCIFIC lineup that earned promotion through VCT Ascension EMEA 2025. Sources indicate that the deal will include all five players, and they are expected to compete under the BBL banner next year.

BBL PCIFIC’s Ascension

The Turkish squad had an extraordinary 2025 campaign, sweeping through their regional circuit by winning the VCL TR Kickoff, Stage 1, and Stage 2, before claiming the year’s first Challengers EMEA title. Their successful run culminated in a standout performance at Ascension EMEA, where they defeated DNSTY 3-1 in the grand final to secure their spot in Tier-1.

Several of BBL PCIFIC’s players drew attention from top European organizations throughout the year, particularly Lar0k and Loita. Despite this, the five players reportedly chose to remain together, opting to join BBL as a unit rather than pursue separate contracts elsewhere.

BBL’s main roster saw renewed momentum in 2025 after adding PROFEK, Jamppi, and Magnum, securing a top-three finish in Stage 2. With the Ascension-winning squad’s arrival, BBL aims to preserve its existing team cohesion and strengthen its foundation for the 2026 VCT season.

Conflict of Interest and Unclear Rules

However, the potential transfer has sparked questions about Riot Games’ franchising rules. When The Guard/G2 Esports situation occurred in VCT Americas, fans believed that Ascension slots belonged to players and coaches, not necessarily their organizations. If BBL PCIFIC’s entire roster moves to BBL, EMEA could be left one team short unless PCIFIC themselves are confirmed as a franchised entity.

With Riot yet to clarify the ownership rights of Ascension teams, uncertainty remains over how such transfers will be handled heading into the 2026 season.
