Fnatic Announce the Departure of Mikyx
Just days after their elimination from Worlds 2025, Fnatic are already making moves in preparation for next season. First up, the team has announced they are parting ways with Mihael "Mikyx" Mehle, who is now free to explore his options.
A Shocking Move
Once a powerhouse of the European League of Legends scene, Fnatic haven't managed to lift an LEC title since 2018. After becoming the first team to exit the Swiss Stage at Worlds 2025, it was clear Fnatic was in desperate need of changes.
While this may be true, though, Mikyx has been one of the team's best performers throughout the year. What's more, the Slovenian Support player is an 11-time LEC Champion, and has the kind of experience any team in the league could benefit from.
Moving forward, it will no doubt be difficult for Fnatic to fill the hole left by Mikyx's departure. Whether the team is willing to bet on some up-and-coming European talent, bring over another import, or place a bet on another veteran, remains to be seen.
This, however, looks to be only the beginning for Fnatic. A move like this smells a whole lot like a rebuild, and it will be interesting to see what other players exit the team in the coming months as Fnatic prepare to take on the revamped 2026 LEC season with a new squad.
What's Next for Mikyx?
After almost 10 years in the LEC, Mikyx clearly still has a lot to give. Now the question is: which team will look to snatch the player for the coming season?
While Mikyx's options will be plentiful, there is one team that really stands out. After winning their first-ever LEC trophy at the start of the year, Karmine Corp failed to keep up their form throughout 2025, and clearly need a little extra push to keep up with the best teams in the region. That's where Mikyx comes in.
KC's Jungler Martin "Yike" Sundelin was able to form an incredible partnership with Mikyx during his time in G2 in 2023-2024. Working in tandem, Yike and Mikyx were able to lift a whopping 6 consecutive LEC titles together. Now, KC have the chance to reunite a partnership that seems built for victory.

Whether it be Karmine Corp or some other team in the LEC (or perhaps elsewhere?), Mikyx's landing spot will be one of the most interesting stories to follow in the coming offseason.
