Opening Matchups

Two exciting matches await us to kick off opening weekend of the 2025 LEC Summer Split. Let's go over what you can expect.

Natus Vincere vs Karmine Corp [Saturday, August 2nd - 8 am PT/5 pm CET]

The very first match of the Summer Split will see newcomers of NAVI make their grand LEC debut. It will not be an easy start, however, as the team will have to take on Karmine Corp to kick things off — undoubtedly one of the very best teams in the league.

Though NAVI look committed to forming a competitive squad, this will surely take some time. Karmine Corp, meanwhile, should take the opportunity to launch into a strong start as they seek to conquer their second LEC trophy of the 2025 season.

Team Heretics vs Fnatic [Saturday, August 2nd - 10 am PT/7 pm CET]

A T1 mid laner in the LEC? Without a doubt, all eyes will be on Yoon "Poby" Sung-won as he makes his LEC debut with Fnatic. After spending the last three years playing with Marek "Humanoid" Brázda, it might take Fnatic some time before fully getting used to their new mid laner.

The question now is, can Team Heretics make the most of their rivals' lack of practice under the new squad, or will Poby's debut be framed in gold?
