After almost a month of battles and downtime, Tundra Esports emerged as the BLAST Slam IV Champions. They defeated Team Falcons in an intense five-map Grand Final. Both teams played great Dota 2 and proved why they stand out from the rest of the lineup.

Tundra Esports Reaches the Grand Finals

Tundra Esports claimed the first Grand Finals slot after a brief but efficient campaign. They dominated the Group Stage, finishing first despite a few losses — against Aurora Gaming and Team Aureus, both considered weaker opponents than Team Falcons’ defeats.

By placing first in Groups, Tundra advanced directly to the Playoffs Semifinals, only one victory away from the Grand Finals. After a day of waiting, they faced a strong MOUZ lineup and pulled off a hard-fought comeback. Despite losing the first game, they turned the series around 2-1.

That result secured Tundra Esports their Grand Finals slot and gave MOUZ a well-deserved third place. MOUZ has been showing steady improvement over the last month, pushing themselves even further into Tier 1 territory.

Team Falcons' Path to the Grand Finals

Team Falcons had a surprisingly similar run through the Group Stage, finishing with nine wins and two losses. One of those losses was against Tundra Esports, which placed them second after a tied score.

Since Falcons placed second, they skipped directly to the Playoffs Semifinals, where they faced Heroic. Despite Heroic managing to take a win from them in Groups, this time Falcons dominated, winning 2-0 and advancing to the Grand Finals. Heroic finished in fourth place.

This result set the stage for a thrilling Tundra versus Falcons Grand Final. It also highlighted how predictable the BLAST seeding system has become. Once again, both top seeds met in the Grand Finals — this might indicate a new rework in their organization is in order.

Regardless, this pattern shows that both teams are solidifying themselves as early favorites for this season.

Tundra Esports: Fighting for the Crown

The Grand Finals turned out to be one of the most exciting best-of-five series of the year. Both teams went all out until the very last map. Falcons struck first, taking the opener 1-0, but the series went back and forth until it reached a 2-2 tie.

The final map was a true test of determination. Both teams picked the exact same draft as in Game 4. Falcons tried to prove that their strategy could work, but failed to execute again. Tundra Esports triumphed, becoming the first three-time back-to-back BLAST Slam Champions.

After a month of instability, we finally have a clear picture of which teams stand as favorites for the season. Tundra Esports have earned their place among the elite, while Team Falcons proved they remain strong contenders despite their Grand Final loss.

Among the rising teams, Heroic and MOUZ continue to impress. Both reached the Top 4, surpassing big names like Team Liquid and Team Spirit. While Heroic’s rise began earlier, MOUZ seems to be improving faster — and this growing rivalry may push both even further.

On the other hand, Team Liquid and Team Spirit still struggle to stabilize after roster changes. Both lost TI-level hard supports, showing once again how crucial a strong position 5 player can be on the highest level.

Looking ahead, PGL Wallachia Season 6 is just around the corner. The tournament kicks off on November 15th, giving us more data to adjust expectations for DreamLeague Season 27.
